Elder Jordan's Journey Into Faith

Elder Antoine Jordan was saved at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park in 1978. He is currently an associate minister of the Apostolic Faith Church where he has served the Kingdom for over 34 years. Elder Jordan’s journey began in a home where his mother always modeled trust and faith in the Lord and his father inspired his interest in current events and history. Elder Jordan was educated in Chicago’s public schools and attended Chicago City Colleges. He was employed by UPS until he retired in 2012 after 43 years of service. His professional honors include induction into the UPS Circle of Honor in recognition of his 37 years of safe driving.

Teaching & Mentoring

Elder Jordan and his wife Linda began their Christian education ministries in the late 1970s by teaching children at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park where Elder Jordan also served for 12 years on several ministries and committees. Since that time his unique and relatable teaching style has led to the success of a number of classes at the Apostolic Faith Church under the pastorate of Bishop Horace Smith. In the late 1980s, Elder Jordan became a teacher in the Foundations for Spiritual Growth class that is required for all persons who become members of the church. In addition, he has taught various Sunday School classes and helped to spearhead and teach the Tuesday afternoon Sunday School and Bible Class for senior citizens. On numerous occasions he has been called upon to teach the church’s Wednesday Bible Class when Bishop Smith which is usually taught by the pastor. He has also played a role in training and mentoring other teachers at the Apostolic Faith Church. For 15 years, Elder Jordan headed the Baptism and Altar Worker Ministry of the Apostolic Faith Church. In 2022, he was honored by the pastor as one of the fathers of the faith.

Impact In His Church Community

Ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Elder Jordan has ministered in many churches throughout the Illinois District Council. In addition to his preaching engagements, he has been a facilitator and speaker in men’s retreats and workshops, marriage retreats, and Christian education seminars. He has also served as a moderator and presenter for several Illinois District Council Conferences. Elder Jordan has written for the Apostolic Light Sunday School curriculum and has served on national committees through the International Christian Education Association of the P.A.W.

Elder Jordan's Personal Life

Elder Jordan is a man who loves his family and models what it means to be a father, a husband, a grand dad, and a servant of God. He and his wife of 53 years, Evangelist Linda Jordan, have raised two sons and a daughter, who are all saved. The Jordan’s now have six grandchildren who constantly bring joy to their lives.
