Viola Cicciarelli

Early Life

Viola Cicciarelli, a chosen servant of God, and a native of a small farm town in Tennessee from a family of twelve children. I graduated from a segregated high school, class of 1969, and a segregated community college in 1971.

Joining the Pentecostal Church of Christ

I moved to Peoria, Illinois in 1978 where I became an active member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.  I often tell my story of God’s amazing grace. May 1980, I was baptized in Jesus Name; days later, a medical condition brought me to death’s door.  The doctors only gave me 24 hours with a 50/50 chance of survival.  God’s divine intervention inspired my pastor, Elder Val Johnson, to call the Saints together in prayer and fasting until God moved,” either through death or by granting life.”  After experiencing this powerful move of God, I received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  I am here today because of His grace and mercy, with a song in my heart, “Lord I’m Available to you.”  Since 1980, my life has been filled with experiences inspired from these two passages of scripture, I Peter 5:10”… “After that ye have suffered awhile, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you”, and Romans 12:12”Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, and continuing in prayer.”

Building God's People

In my journey, God has used me to enhance, strengthen, and spiritually build up His people. As a retired elementary teacher of 44 years, I hold an A.S., BA, two M.A’s. in education and Reading, a Purpose Institute Ministerial Degree, and a PAW certification of Transformational Leadership.

With a loving and supportive husband, Paul Cicciarelli, I continue to faithfully serve under the leadership of   District Elder Henry Bolden II. Currently serving as Director of Superintendent, youth teacher, Hospitality Ministry, Scholarship Committee, Outreach Ministries in Peoria, and in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
