Personal Life

Lolline McDaniel-Pippins is the first born of six siblings and one extended sister. One brother and sister preceded her in death,  her birth parents Juanita McDaniel and David Strickland (preceded  her in death), She was raised by her maternal grandfather, grand mother and aunt.  Leonard and Minnie Mc Daniel and Dorothy, all who preceded her in death. 

She attended public school, Nathaniel Pope Elementary school, Farragut High School, Loop College, where she received an Associate degree in Computer Science.

Lolline married Will Pippins Jr. in 1965, to this union was two daughters: Consetta and Verenda. Will Pippins Jr. died in 2019. Lolline has 5 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Lolline's Christian Experience

Her Christian experience started with her grandmother attending, First Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Floyd P. Piper. 

She was brought to Saint John Church-Baptist by Mrs. Novella Mann. She joined Saint John Church-Baptist in 1972. 

Serving Saint John Church-Baptist

Lolline serves/had served in many ministries of Saint John Church-Baptist including: 

  • Usher/Greeter, 
  • Inspirational choir chorister (choir president for six (6) years)
  • Mission Department President for six (6) years, 
  • Chairperson of the Saint John Church-Baptist Community Outreach organization four (4) years 
  • Chairperson of the Saint John Church-Baptist Performing Arts for four (4) years 
  • Currently, Mission Department Circle Leader – Pathfinders/Ruth Circle 
  • Saint John Church-Baptist – Bereavement Counselor
  • Teacher – Saint John Church-Baptist Christian Education Sunday School
  • Volunteer – Saint John Church-Baptist Free Meal Monday Initiative
  • Volunteer – Saint John Church-Baptist – Church Office 
  • Volunteer – Saint John Church-Baptist – Trustee Board – Building and Grounds

Lolline's Professional Life

Additionally, Lolline Serves as the Correspondence Secretary for the Greater New Era District 

Lolline’s employment experience consisted of:

  • Post-Office seasonal work, 
  • Bag craft of America as an order filler, 
  • Johnson & Johnson line packer, 
  • Montgomery Wards as receptionist, 
  • GE Financial (fka Signature Group) as Corporation Operator and Corporate Receptionist, her last position was IT group leader.

Lolline loves cooking, sewing, crafts, and most of all planting flowers and house plants.

Her motto in life is: If I can’t help, I won’t hinder. Her favorite, scriptures are Ephesians 2:10 and Psalm 119:133.
